The BIM Information Management Course provides a detailed overview of information management in line with ISO 19650-2 with a reference to the UK standards for BIM Implementation, including the activities and documents that occur during the Information Management stages.
DEFINING THE BIM EXECUTION PLAN
The Defining the BIM Execution Plan course presents the process of BIM Execution Planning and the development of the core BIM document BIM Execution Plan, BEP in line with ISO 19650. It demonstrates how the BEP can be used as a tool to provide a standardized workflow and general guidance for strategic BIM implementation.
ASSET INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS
The Asset Information Requirements course presents the importance of information in Asset management and defines the Asset and Asset Information Requirements in the context of ISO 19650-3. The course explains the methodology to develop the Asset Information Requirements, AIR and includes a few exercises to test your knowledge.
The COBie Basics for SMEs course provides an understanding of the origins, scope and the structure of Construction Operations Building Information Exchange, COBie. The course presents the structure of COBie and identifies the key concepts of the COBie spreadsheet content and deliverables.
I completed the BIM Foundations followed by BIM Information Management course and I found them excellent courses, especially helping me to ‘bridge my knowledge gap’ between the old PAS standard and the new ISO standard. I thought the courses was very well laid out to help me consume and assimilate this complex subject.
